Jumping rope as a kid we would give each other do-overs if we missed coming in to jump.

I'm glad I've had so many do-overs. Relationships, careers, and yes, even losing weight. In losing weight I've had a thousand do-overs. Daily do-overs, Hourly do-overs!

Thank God we have the ability to do-over in the next breath.

I've done things that I would do-over. Some people find comfort in saying, "I wouldn't change a thing about my past." I would. I would make it sweeter, kinder, more forgiving, more tolerant." Looking back at the times when I would have liked a do-over lets me know how important choices and changes really are in our lives. We have the power to choose a do-over or "let the chips fall." I'm glad we have that power.

Comfort Food...is that an option?

Comfort food for me has always been breakfast foods. I remember the smells of bacon...and the sugary milk in the bottom of a bowl and I can feel myself relaxing. My blood pressure decreasing just from the memory of all those scents. How comforting is it if it adds stress to your life an hour later?

These past two weeks of "eating with ethics" has caused me to realize that
1) I have NO hobbies other than eating,
2) Food is my way of "getting my way", I can eat what I want when I want,
3) This is going to be a very long road.

I know many of my friends deal with food issues every day.
